Keeper, as we call him, was acquired from Marge Naillon, a dear friend and one solid human being. She and Jan Lotze were friends for many years and Margie was dedicated to preserving the Burgundy line through consciencous breeding along the lines of what Jan had taught her.
Keeper, was shown as a puppy by Jan and she had high hopes for him but unfortunately those hopes were cut short by her untimely death. Margie, realizing his potential, selectively bred him to other Burgundy girls in hopes that he might produce ringworthy get.
Now, with three champion get under his belt and several more pointed, that dream has been realized. Furthermore, Keeper claimed the  title of Best Stud Dog at our specialty this year, awarded by the esteemed Fidelma Dixie, which was a true honor from our perspective considering that the Emerald lines are one of our favorites.
Keeper produces all colors and always improves heads and bites. He has nice, full bone and a personality that is unequaled. The best thing about Keeper from our perspective, is his devotion to his people. Considering the sheltered environment he had been raised in after Jan's death, he is always willing to lay aside his fear of the unknown and "try his best" in order to please. It is very few dogs that can be kept so sheltered from puppyhood on and still enter a ring like a pro. Keeper however, is one of those dogs.
 
We are making Keeper available for stud to select approved bitches later this year- This will be on a limited basis, pedigrees, brucellosis tests and contracts will be required. See some of what he produces below, other progeny pictures are available upon request. Ask about his strengths and faults and we can talk about whether or not he would be an enhancement to your program.
